The MPQ7932-AEC1 is a power management IC (PMIC) designed to meet the power management requirements of processors used in various automotive systems.

Six integrated, synchronous buck converters can be configured for three-rail, dual-phase operation or configured to act as six-rail, single-phase converters. With dynamic voltage scaling, the output voltage (V_OUTx) of each converter can be changed during normal operation. The PMBus interface provides packet error checking (PEC) and an integrated multi-page, one-time programmable (MOTP) memory for a high degree of configurability.

To prevent overshoot during start-up, each converter features soft-start (SS) functionality. To allow for proper discharge during shutdown, soft-shutdown functionality is featured on each converter. The slew rate for both functions can be configured via the digital registers. The MPQ7932-AEC1 features a configurable windowed or Q&A watchdog, dedicated WDI pin, external voltage monitor, and sequence output pin.

A 2MHz, fixed-frequency peak current mode control regulates V_OUTx, offers fast transient performance, and significantly reduces external inductance and capacitance. Frequency spread spectrum (FSS) reduces EMI noises. The full protection suite features under-voltage lockout (UVLO), under-voltage protection (UVP), over-voltage protection (OVP), and thermal shutdown.

The MPQ7932-AEC1 is available in a TQFN-32 (5mmx5mm) package, and is available in AEC-Q100 Grade 1.

The MPQ70160FS-AEC1 is a power management IC (PMIC) designed to meet the power management requirements of processors used in various safety-relevant automotive systems.
