MPQ5816-AEC1

The MPQ5816-AEC1 is an integrated smart diode designed to provide a compact solution for 110W electronic control unit (ECU) systems with simplified external circuity.  

The device’s 2µA standby current (I_STBY) makes it ideal for battery-powered applications. The MPQ5816-AEC1 integrates a 10mΩ N-channel MOSFET and an internal charge pump, which supports nominal loads up to 9A of continuous current and minimizes power loss between the input and output. Ultra-fast transient response ensures the part is able to rectify AC frequencies up to 100kHz.  

In addition to reverse polarity protection and reverse pulse protection, the MPQ5816-AEC1 also provides multiple diagnostics during fault conditions such as under-voltage (UV), over-voltage (OV), over-current (OC), and over-temperature (OT) conditions. 

With an extremely low under-voltage lockout (UVLO) threshold, the device provides a wide operating voltage range to meet the harsh start-up conditions defined in ISO 16750 standards. The device also supports cold-crank voltages down to 0V. 

The MPQ5816-AEC1 is available in a QFN-21 (3mmx4mm) package, and is AEC-Q100 qualified.
