The MP9931 is a high-voltage, synchronous, step-down, switching regulator controller that can directly step down voltages from up to 100V. It can drive dual N-channel MOSFET switches.
The MP9931's adaptive constant-on-time (COT) control architecture provides fast transient response and facilitates loop stabilization. The DC auto-tune loop provides excellent load and line regulation.
Pulse-skip mode (PSM) and ultrasonic mode (USM) enable asynchronous operation to optimize light-load efficiency.
The MP9931’s switching frequency (fSW) can be configured by an external resistor or synchronized to an external clock for noise-sensitive applications.
Fault protections include precision input over-voltage protection (OVP), output over-current protection (OCP), and thermal shutdown.
The MP9931 is available in a QFN-23 (4mmx4mm) package.

The EV9931-R-00A evaluation board is designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the MP9931, a high-voltage, synchronous, step-down, switching regulator controller.
The evaluation board can achieve up to 20A of continuous output current (IOUT) across a 25V to 100V input voltage (VIN), with excellent load and line regulation.
The MP9931 adopts constant-on-time (COT) control internally to provide fast transient response, easy loop design, and tight output regulation. Full protection features include short-circuit protection (SCP), over-current protection (OCP), under-voltage protection (UVP), and thermal shutdown.
It is recommended to read the MP9931 datasheet prior to making any changes to the EV9931-R-00A.
