Description

The MPQ70156FS-AEC1 is an ASIL-B hardware-capable PMIC featuring a buck converter and a single-channel window voltage supervisor (monitor). The device features a monolithic, step-down switch-mode converter with built-in internal power MOSFETs. It provides 1A to 3A of continuous output current (I_OUT) from a 2.7V to 6V input voltage (V_IN) range, with excellent load and line regulation. The output voltage (V_OUT) can be regulated to as low as 0.7V.

Constant-on-time (COT) control provides fast transient response and eases loop stabilization. Fault protections include cycle-by-cycle current limiting and thermal shutdown.

The single-channel window voltage supervisor (monitor) monitors a voltage rail ranging from 0.7V to 5V. With high accuracy (±0.9%) and fast detection time, this voltage monitor is well-suited to continuously monitor point-of-load (PoL) voltage rails for over-voltage (OV) and under-voltage (UV) conditions.

With the integration of sophisticated functional safety features, including built-in self-test (BIST), diagnostics, and redundant reference voltage, the MPQ70156FS-AEC1 is targeted to support applications with a high automotive safety integrity level (ASIL) up to ASIL-B.

The MPQ70156FS-AEC1 requires a minimal number of external components, and is available in a QFN-16 (2.5mmx3.5mm) package. It is AEC-Q100 qualified.
