3D (XYZ) Position Sensors

MPS’s 3D sensors detect the direction and strength of 3-dimensional (X, Y, Z) magnetic fields. The magnetic field range can be scaled from ±50mT to ±250mT. For system calibration, an on-chip temperature sensor provides information about the chip temperature. MPS’s 3D sensors digitize the temperature and magnetic field information, and communicate via I2C or SPI interface options. A cost-effective, small footprint combined with low-power operation makes these sensors an ideal solution for tamper detection in electric meters, and for linear or angular measurement applications, such as knobs, buttons, and joysticks.
