Description

The MPQ7936-AEC1 is a complete power management solution that integrates four high-efficiency step-down DC/DC converters, four low-dropout (LDO) regulators, and a flexible logic interface.

Constant-on-time (COT) control in the DC/DC converter provides fast transient response. The 2.2MHz fixed switching frequency (f_SW) in continuous conduction mode (CCM) greatly reduces the external inductance and capacitance. Full protection features include under-voltage lockout (UVLO), over-current protection (OCP), over-voltage protection (OVP), and thermal shutdown.

The I²C interface offers flexibility through configurability. The output voltage (V_OUT), power-on/power-off sequence, and dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) settings are all adjustable via this digital interface. The multiple one-time programmable (MOTP) memory allows for pre-set values from the factory and soft-start configurability for the bucks.

Protection features include over-voltage protection (OVP) and over-current protection (OCP) for the bucks. The MPQ7936-AEC1 also features thermal warning and shutdown.

The MPQ7936-AEC1 requires a minimal number of external components, and is available in a TLGA-29 (4.5mmx4.5mm) package. It is available in AEC-Q100 Grade 1.
