80V, 8A, Synchronous, Step-Down DC/DC Converter with Dual-Phase Operation Supported

概要

The MP4587 is a high-efficiency, synchronous step-down converter with integrated high-side and low-side MOSFETs (HS-FET and LS-FET, respectively). It supports up to 8A of continuous output current (I_OUT), with excellent load and line regulation across the wide input voltage (V_IN) supply range.

High power conversion efficiency across a wide load range is achieved through power-save mode (PSM). The MP4587's fixed-frequency constant-on-time (COT) control architecture provides fast transient response and eases loop stabilization.

The MP4587's operating frequency is configurable via the FREQ pin. In addition, the device can be synchronized to an external clock in single-phase applications.

Full protection features include over-current protection (OCP), short-circuit protection (SCP) with hiccup mode, output voltage (V_OUT) over-voltage protection (OVP), and over-temperature protection (OTP).

The MP4587 is available in a QFN-37 (6mmx6mm) package with wettable flanks.
