Description

The MP6517A is a single-phase BLDC motor driver with an integrated Hall sensor and power MOSFETs. It drives a single-phase BLDC fan with output current limit up to 2A.

The MP6517A has wide input voltage range (3.3V to 16V) with input line reverse voltage protection. The motor rotational speed is controlled by the PWM duty applied on PWM pin.

The rotational speed output indicator or rotor dead-lock fault indicator output is selectable on FG/RD pin with an open drain output. The MP6517A has programmable output speed versus the input duty curve.

The MP6517A has soft on/off phase transition and automatic phase-lock function to reduce fan driver audible noise and power loss.

Full protection are employed in the MP6517A including input over-voltage protection (OVP), under-voltage lockout (UVLO), rotor deadlock protection, thermal shutdown, and input reverse protection. All protection is recoverable

The MP6517A is available in a TSOT23-6-L, a TSOT23-6-R, a TSOT23-6-SL, and a TSOT23-6-RSL package.
