Description
The MP6658 is a single-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor driver with integrated power MOSFETs and a Hall sensor. The input voltage (VIN) is between 4.5V and 32V, and the coil peak current is up to 2.7A. In addition, the MP6658 provides an optional external Hall sensor for operation.
The MP6658 controls the motor speed through the pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal or a DC voltage applied on the PWM pin. The PWM signal frequency is between 50Hz and 100kHz, and the DC voltage ranges between 0V and 3.3V.
The speed indicator (FG) or locked-rotor indicator (RD) is supported via the FG/RD pin. The FG/RD pin is an open-drain output that must be pulled up externally.
Rich protections include input under-voltage lockout (UVLO), input over-voltage protection (OVP), locked-rotor protection (RD), over-current protection (OCP), and thermal shutdown protection (TSD).
The MP6658 is available in a QFN-12 (3mmx3mm) package with wettable flanks.
