Description

The MPQ6653AGJS-AEC1 and MPQ6653AGJ-AEC1 are single-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor drivers with integrated power MOSFETs and an embedded Hall sensor. They drive a single-phase BLDC motor, with up to 1.2A of peak coil current. The input voltage (V_IN) range is between 3.5V and 35V.

The MPQ6653AGJS-AEC1 and MPQ6653AGJ-AEC1 control the motor speed through the pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal or the DC voltage on the PWM pin. The devices feature configurable soft commutation, a Hall offset angle, and speed curve configurations.

The FG/RD pin acts as either a rotating speed indicator (FG) based on the embedded Hall sensor’s output, or locked-rotor indicator (RD) if locked-rotor protection is triggered.

Rich protections include input over-voltage protection (OVP), under-voltage lockout (UVLO), locked-rotor protection, over-current protection (OCP), and thermal shutdown protection.

The MPQ6653AGJS-AEC1 is available in a TSOT23-6-SL package, and the MPQ6653AGJ-AEC1 is available in a TSOT23-6 package. They are available in AEC-Q100 Grade 1.

The MPQ6653AGDTE-AEC1 is functionally the same part, but it is available in a wettable-flank TQFN-6 (2mmx3mm) package.
