Description
The MPQ4483 is a high-frequency, synchronous, rectified, step-down switch-mode converter. It can achieve up to 3A of output current (IOUT) across a wide input voltage (VIN) range, with excellent load and line regulation. The MPQ4483 provides synchronous mode to achieve higher efficiency across the output load range.
The MPQ4483 provides a constant-current (CC) limit function for the output with two adjustable CC limit thresholds. The device also supports BC 1.2 dedicated charging port (DCP) mode and charging downstream port (CDP) mode.
Fault condition protections include current limiting in hiccup mode, over-voltage protection (OVP), ground-to-battery short protection, and thermal shutdown.
The MPQ4483 requires a minimal number of readily available, standard external components, and is available in a QFN-25 (4mmx5mm) package.
