4-Switching Line Scan Driver with Serial Interface and GPIO Control

Description

The MPQ3327-AEC1 is a 4-switching, maximum 8A current line scan driver with a 20V voltage rating. It is designed for LED local dimming and mini-LED backlighting in automotive LCD panels.

The MPQ3327-AEC1 integrates 4 N-channel MOSFETs (NMOS) with a 25mΩ on resistance (R_DS(ON)) and employs the internal charge pump circuit to provide the gate driver.

The MPQ3327-AEC1 supports independent switching on/off control for each switching through the serial interface for the MPQ3327GQE-0000-AEC1 and through GPIO control for the MPQ3327GQE-0001-AEC1. The configurable, internal registers can be used for more reliable and flexible applications. The 25MHz serial interface clock guarantees a high data transfer rate for multiple chips in a daisy-chain application.

Robust protections are included to guarantee safe operation of the device. Protection modes include switching short protection and over-temperature protection (OTP). The all-fault status can also be read through the serial interface. The fault flag pin also indicates the fault status once the fault condition is detected.

The MPQ3327-AEC1 is available in a QFN-14 (3mmx3mm) package. It is available in AEC-Q100 Grade 1.
