EVQ3326-R-00A Evaluation Kit 16-Channel, 50mA/Ch, LED Driver with Separated PWM Dimming, Analog Dimming, and I2C Evaluation Board, AEC-Q100 Qualified
The EVQ3326-R-00A is an evaluation board designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the MPQ3326, a 16-channel white LED (WLED) driver that can operate from a wide 4V to 16V input voltage range. The MP3326 applies 16 internal current sources in each LED string terminal. Each channel's LED current is set via an external current-setting resistor. The maximum current for each channel is 50mA (VIN ≥ 4.5V).
The device integrates an I2C interface (with up to ten configurable I2C addresses via an external resistor), which allows the MPQ3326 to support up to ten cascaded ICs to drive an LED array. Each channel can be enabled or disabled via the I2C.
The MPQ3326 employs separated pulse-width modulation (PWM) dimming and analog dimming, as well as 12-bit resolution PWM dimming and 6-bit analog dimming for each channel. The LED current ramp rate and phase shift can be configured to optimize EMI/EMC performance.
The device's RFSH/FLT pin can output a refresh signal. The refresh signal frequency can be set by the register.
Full protection features include LED open protection, LED short protection, and over-temperature protection (OTP). If a fault protection is triggered, then the fault indicator pulls low and the corresponding fault register is set.
The MPQ3326 is AEC-Q100 qualified, and is available in a QFN-24 (4mmx4mm) package.
The MP3326/MPQ3326-AEC1 is highly customizable. Users can configure the MP3326 and MPQ3326-AEC1 via the downloadable I2C GUI.
Communication Interface Device USB to I2C/PMBus, included with product evaluation kit or can be purchased separately.
