Description

The MP8796K is a fully integrated, PMBus-compliant, high-frequency, synchronous buck converter. The MP8796K offers a compact solution that achieves up to 30A of output current (I_OUT) per phase, with excellent load and line regulation across a wide input supply range. It operates at high efficiency across a wide I_OUT load range and can be paralleled for high-current applications.

The MP8796K adopts MPS's proprietary, multi-phase constant-on-time (MCOT) control, which provides fast transient response and facilitates loop stabilization. The PMBus interface provides converter configurations and monitors key parameters.

Fully integrated protection features include over-current protection (OCP), over-voltage protection (OVP), under-voltage protection (UVP), and over-temperature protection (OTP).

The MP8796K requires a minimal number of readily available, external components, and is available in a TQFN-25 (4mmx5mm) package.

The EVL8796K-V-1PHASE-00A can be turned on and off via a remote on/off input (CTRL), which is referenced to ground (GND). This input is compatible with commonly used logic devices.
