The MP8776 is a fully integrated, high-frequency, synchronous, rectified, step-down switch-mode converter. It offers a very compact solution to achieve up to 20A of output current (I_OUT) across a wide input supply voltage (V_IN) range, with excellent load and line regulation. The device operates at high efficiency across a wide I_OUT load range.

The MP8776 adopts constant-on-time (COT) pulse-width modulation (PWM) control to provide fast transient response and easy loop stabilization. The operating frequency is regulated by a frequency locked loop during operation, which makes filtering easy. The frequency can be set through pin configurations.

The output voltage (V_OUT) start-up ramp is controlled by an internal timer. An open-drain power good (PG) signal indicates whether V_OUT is within its nominal voltage range.

Fully integrated protection features include over-current protection (OCP), V_OUT and V_IN over-voltage protection (OVP), V_OUT under-voltage protection (UVP), and over-temperature protection (OTP).

The MP8776 requires a minimal number of readily available standard external components, and is available in a TLGA-21 (3mmx4mm) package.
