Description
The MPQ8837-AEC1 is a 36V, synchronous, 4-switch, buck-boost converter with integrated MOSFETs and a fixed switching frequency (fSW). The wide 2.8V to 36V input voltage (VIN) range makes the device well-suited for multi-purpose automotive and industrial applications. The device can deliver up to 8A output current (IOUT) or 60W of peak output power (POUT) at certain VIN supply ranges with excellent efficiency.
The I2C interface and one-time programmable (OTP) memory provide flexibility for configurable parameters.
fSW can be configured as 280kHz, 420kHz, 600kHz, 1.2MHz, and 2.1MHz. The configurable frequency spread spectrum (FSS) function can dither fSW periodically for improved EMI performance.
Fault condition protections include constant-current limit, input and output over-voltage protection (OVP), and thermal shutdown (TSD).
The MPQ8837-AEC1 requires a minimal number of readily available, standard components, and is available in a small, thermal-enhanced TQFN-18 (3mmx4mm) package with wettable flanks.
