Description
The MPQ2211-AEC1 is a fully integrated, high-frequency, synchronous buck converter. It offers a very compact solution to achieve up to 12A of output current (IOUT) across a wide input supply range, with excellent load and line regulation. The device operates at high efficiency across a wide IOUT load range.
The MPQ2211-AEC1 adopts an internally compensated constant-on-time (COT) control mode that provides fast transient response and eases loop stabilization. Pulse-skip mode (PSM) enables asynchronous operation to optimize light-load efficiency. The device also provides a fixed 2.2MHz frequency, allowing its frequency to remain constant regardless of the input voltage (VIN) and output voltage (VOUT).
The VOUT start-up ramp is controlled by an internal 0.9ms timer, and can be increased by adding a capacitor on the SSTT pin. An open-drain power good (PG) signal indicates the output is within its nominal voltage range. The PG pin is clamped to about 0.7V with an external pull-up voltage if the input supply fails to power the MPQ2211-AEC1.
Fully integrated protection features include over-current protection (OCP), over-voltage protection (OVP), under-voltage protection (UVP), and over-temperature protection (OTP).
The MPQ2211-AEC1 requires a minimal number of readily available, standard external components, and is available in an LGA-19 (3mmx3.5mm) package.
