The MPF42797 is a drop-in solution that provides accurate and robust state-of-charge (SoC) estimates for applications with 2 to 10 stacked lithium batteries, and nominal battery pack voltages ranging between 7.4V and 37V. The device can work with different lithium cells by leveraging different chemistries and float voltages.
The solution features an extensive set of configurable settings that can adjust the estimates based on the application's specific operating voltage. This allows the MPF42797 to support a wide variety of applications. The MPF42797 is very flexible, and can be paired with any type of analog front end (AFE) by leveraging the system’s microcontroller (MCU) to provide the battery pack readings.
The MPF42797 features an I2C interface with CRC support to ensure integrity of the exchanged data. It is available in a QFN-32 (4mmx4mm) package.
