Description
The MP86952 is a radiation-tolerant, monolithic half-bridge IC with built-in internal power MOSFETs and gate drivers. It can achieve up to 70A of continuous output current (IOUT) across a wide 3V to 16V input voltage (VIN) range.
The Intelli-PhaseTM solution can drive up to 70A per phase. The integrated MOSFETs and drivers provide high efficiency by optimizing the optimized dead time (DT) and reducing parasitic inductance. The device operates from 100kHz to 3MHz.
The MP86952 offers many features to simplify system design, and is compatible with tri-state pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal controllers. It also comes with accurate current-sensing (Accu-SenseTM) to monitor the inductor current (IL), and temperature-sensing to report the junction temperature (TJ).
The device is ideal for server applications where efficiency and small size are critical.
The MP86952 is available in an LGA-41 (5mmx6mm) package.
