Optimized Performance with MPS Inductor

The MP87290 is a monolithic half-bridge Intelli-Phase^TM solution with built-in internal power MOSFETs and gate drivers. It achieves up to 90A of continuous output current (I_OUT) across a wide input supply voltage (V_IN) range, and it can operate from 100kHz to 1.5MHz. Quiet Switcher^TM Technology (QST^TM) utilizes a proprietary circuit design, achievable only in monolithic architecture, to suppress voltage ringing. This technology limits peak switching voltages, improves device reliability, lowers EMI, and reduces sensitivity to PCB layout.

The MP87290 offers many features to simplify system design. This device works with controllers with tri-state pulse-width modulation (PWM) signals. It also integrates accurate current-sensing to monitor the inductor current (I_L) and temperature-sensing to report the junction temperature (T_J).

The MP87290 is ideal for server applications where efficiency and small size are at a premium. It is available in a TLGA-34 (4mmx6mm) package.
