Description

The MP87006 is a monolithic half-bridge with built-in internal power MOSFETs and gate drivers. The MP87006 achieves 90A of continuous output current (I_OUT) across a wide input supply range.

Quiet Switcher^TM technology (QST^TM) utilizes a proprietary circuit design, achievable only in monolithic architecture, to suppress voltage ringing. This technology limits peak switching voltages to less than 3V above the input voltage (V_IN), improves device reliability, lowers EMI emissions, and reduces sensitivity to the PCB layout.

The MP87006 offers many features to simplify system design. The MP87006 works with controllers with a tri-state pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal, and comes with an accurate current sense to monitor the inductor current (I_L) and temperature sense to report the junction temperature (T_J).

The MP87006 is ideal for server applications where efficiency and small size are at a premium. The MP87006 is available in a TLGA-34 (4mmx6mm) package.
