Description
The MP87971 is a monolithic, half-bridge Intelli-PhaseTM solution with built-in internal power MOSFETs and gate drivers. It can achieve up to 70A of continuous output current (IOUT) across a wide input supply voltage (VIN) range.
The integrated MOSFETS and gate drivers achieve high efficiency due to optimal dead time (DT) and reduced parasitic inductance. This device can operate from a 100kHz to 3MHz switching frequency (fSW).
It offers many features to simplify system design, such as the ability to work with controllers via a tri-state pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal. It also supports temperature-sensing to report the junction temperature (TJ).
The MP87971 is ideal for desktop and motherboard (DT and MB, respectively) applications, where efficiency and small size are at a premium. It is available in a common footprint TLGA-33 (5mmx5mm) package.
