MP2753

The MP2752 is a highly integrated, bidirectional charging solution for 2-cell Li-ion or Li-polymer batteries. The device uses a switched capacitor architecture that does not require an inductor, and can provide up to 10A of output current (I_OUT) in forward mode and up to 5A of charging current in reverse mode.

The MP2752 is suitable for applications migrating from 1-cell battery to 2-cell battery configurations. Combined with a 2-cell battery, the MP2752 can be treated as a virtual 1-cell battery, allowing the existing downstream 1-cell power architecture to be compatible with 2-cell battery packs.

The MP2752 provides a dedicated skip control strategy under light-load conditions when working in forward mode. It can achieve up to 99.3% efficiency across a 200mA to 400mA load range, which maximizes the battery run time.

The I²C interface offers complete operating control, charging/discharging parameter configuration, and status monitoring.

The MP2752 is available in a WLCSP-42 (2.9mmx2.55mm) package.
