The EV5069-QV-00A is an evaluation board for the MP5069 and MPQ5069-AEC1. The MP5069 and MPQ5069-AEC1 are hot-swap protection devices designed to protect circuitry on the output from transients on the input. They also protect their input from undesired shorts and transients coming from their output.
An internal charge pump drives the power device's gate, allowing for a power MOSFET with a very low 7mΩ on resistance. The MP5069 and MPQ5069-AEC1’s fault protections include current-limit protection, thermal shutdown, and damaged-MOSFET detection. Both the current limit and thermal shutdown have user-configurable auto-retry and latch-off modes. These devices also feature under-voltage lockout (UVLO) protection.
