Description
The MP6640A is a 3-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor driver that integrates three half-bridges, consisting of 6 N-channel power MOSFETs as well as pre-drivers and gate drive power supplies.
The MP6640A has pulse-width modulation (PWM) inputs for each half-H bridge. The device is able to deliver up to 4.5A of peak current depending on thermal and PCB conditions. It uses an internal charge pump to generate the gate drive supply voltage for the high-side MOSFETs (HS-FETs).
Internal safety features include thermal shutdown, under-voltage lockout (UVLO), and over-current protection (OCP).
The MP6640A is available in a QFN-16 (2mmx2.5mm) package.
