The EVQ4373-MC-1000-00A is an evaluation board designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the MPQ4373-1000, a synchronous step-down switching regulator with integrated low on-resistance (RDS(ON)) high-side and low-side power MOSFETs (HS-FET and LS-FET, respectively). The MPQ4373-1000 provides up to 11A of output current (IOUT) and employs zero-delay pulse-width modulation (PWM) (ZDPTM) control, an MPS-exclusive technology that delivers extremely fast transient response while reducing the need for costly external capacitors.
The wide 3.3V to 36V input voltage (VIN) range accommodates a variety of step-down applications in automotive input environments. A 1.8μA shutdown-mode quiescent current (IQ) allows the device to be used in battery-powered applications. High power conversion efficiency across a wide load range is achieved by scaling down the switching frequency (fSW) under light-load conditions to reduce switching and gate driver losses.
An open-drain power good (PG) signal indicates whether the output voltage (VOUT) is within 94% to 106% of its nominal voltage. Frequency foldback helps prevent inductor current (IL) runaway during start-up. Thermal shutdown provides reliable, fault-tolerant operation. A high duty cycle and low-dropout (LDO) mode are provided to support automotive cold-crank conditions.
The EVQ4373-MC-1000-00A is a fully assembled and tested evaluation board. The MPQ4373GMC-1000-AEC1, MP4373GMC-1000, and MPQ4373GMC-1000 are available in an LGA-16 (3.5mmx4.5mm) package. The MPQ4373GMC-1000-AEC1 is available in AEC-Q100 Grade 1.
