The EVL87297-2PHASE-00A is an evaluation board designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the MP87297, a monolithic half-bridge with built-in internal power MOSFETs and gate drivers. The evaluation board can deliver up to 200A of continuous load current across a wide input voltage (VIN) supply range.
Quiet SwitcherTM technology (QSTTM) utilizes a proprietary circuit design, achievable only in monolithic architecture, to suppress voltage ringing. This technology limits peak switching voltages, improves device reliability, lowers EMI emissions, and reduces sensitivity to PCB layout.
The MP87297 offers many features to simplify system design. The MP87297 works with controllers such as the MP2985B with a tri-state pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal. It comes with accurate current-sensing to monitor the inductor current (IL), and temperature-sensing to report the junction temperature (TJ).
The MP87297 is ideal for server applications where efficiency and small size are at a premium. The MP87297 is available in a TLGA-34 (4mmx6mm) package.
