Description

The MPQ6620A-AEC1 is a gate driver IC designed for automotive DC motor driver applications. It drives 16 N-channel power MOSFETs to drive DC motors or other loads.

The MPQ6620A-AEC1 integrates a charge pump to drive an external N-channel MOSFET for reverse battery protection. The high-side gate drive is generated by the charge pump, which allows for 100% duty cycle operation.

Eight configurable, internal pulse-width modulation (PWM) generators can be applied to the outputs.

Internal safety features include short-circuit protection (SCP), gate drive fault detection, slew rate adjustment, automatic dead-time control, under-voltage lockout (UVLO), and thermal shutdown.

The MPQ6620A-AEC1 integrates two current-sense amplifiers, and is available in a QFN-48 (7mmx7mm) package with wettable flanks.
