Description
The MP5431C is a complete power management IC (PMIC) that integrates three high-efficiency, step-down DC/DC converters and a flexible logic interface for DDR5.
The MP5431C provides three channel buck outputs. Buck A and Buck B are configured to a dual-phase, interleaving buck converter with current-sharing performance or two single-phase buck converters. Buck C is configured to a single-phase buck converter. The buck converters are designed to support the specific power requirement of DDR5 Client DIMM, including overclocking applications.
The DC/DC converter provides constant-on-time (COT) control for fast transient response. A 750kHz switching frequency (fSW) significantly reduces external inductor and capacitor size. Full protection features include under-voltage lockout (UVLO), over-current protection (OCP), over-voltage protection (OVP), under-voltage protection (UVP), and thermal shut down.
The MP5431C requires a minimal external component count, and it is available in a space-saving TQFN-28 (3mmx4mm) package.

- Selectable Pulse-Frequency Modulation (PFM) or Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) Mode, Adjustable Frequency, and Current Limit via the I2C/I3C
- Pre-Biased Start-Up
