Description

The MP5446 is a complete power management IC (PMIC) solution that integrates four high-efficiency, high-frequency, quad-output, synchronous buck converters and two low-dropout (LDO) regulators with a flexible logic interface.

The MP5446 offers a highly integrated solution that delivers up to 6A of peak output current (I_OUT) per channel, with excellent load and line regulation across a wide input voltage (V_IN) supply range. The four bucks can run in parallel to provide a peak 12A or 24A I_OUT. In addition, buck 1 supports remote voltage sensing with an external DrMOS to supply up to 50A of I_OUT.

The MP5446 uses adaptive constant-on-time (COT) control to provide ultra-fast load transient response. Full protection features include under-voltage lockout (UVLO), over-voltage protection (OVP), over-current protection (OCP), and thermal shutdown.

The MP5446 integrates a multi-page one-time programmable (MOTP) memory, which supports up to four user-configurable pages that can be selected via the PRESET pin. To provide excellent system flexibility, the output voltage (V_OUT), switching frequency (f_SW), current limit (I_LIM), and power sequence are selectable via the MOTP or I²C, in addition to many other parameters.

The MP5446 requires a minimal number of readily available, standard external components, and is available in a WLCSP-72 (3.4mmx3.75mm) package.
