20A, 22V, Synchronous Boost Converter with Configurable Input Current Limit and Dynamic Output Voltage Control

Description

The MP3433 is a 600kHz fixed-frequency, wide input voltage (V_IN) range, highly integrated boost converter. The MP3433 starts from a start-up input voltage (V_ST) as low as 2.8V and supports up to 50W of load power from a 2-cell battery with integrated low on resistance (R_DS(ON)) power MOSFETs.

The MP3433 adopts a constant-off-time (COT) control topology, which provides fast transient response. The configurable input current (I_IN) limit provides accurate overload protection (OLP). The low-side MOSFET (LS-FET) limits the cycle-by-cycle peak inductor current, and the high-side MOSFET (HS-FET) eliminates the need for an external Schottky diode.

The MP3433 integrates dynamic output voltage (V_OUT) control functionality, which detects the audio signal through the CHL/CHR pin and automatically adjusts V_OUT based on the signal level, improving system efficiency and minimizing external components.

Full protection features include configurable V_IN under-voltage lockout (UVLO), over-voltage protection (OVP), and over-temperature protection (OTP).

The MP3433 is available in a QFN-16 (3mmx3mm) package.
