Description
The MID6W2424A is an 6W, 24V input, 3kVRMS isolated DC/DC power module with an integrated transformer. This solution is well-suited to be used as an isolated power supply for biasing power transistors, such as silicon carbide (SiC), silicon FETs, and IGBTs. The device supports up to 6W of output power (POUT), a 24V input voltage (VIN), and a -40°C to 105°C operating ambient temperature (TA) rante.
The MID6W2424A simplifies the design of an isolated bias supply by integrating the control, switching power stage, protection circuitry, transformer, and other passive components in one package. This module provides an ultra-small solution size and highly reliable operation when compared to a traditional system in package (SIP) isolated power module.
The MID6W2424A features different protections such as over-voltage protection (OVP), over-current protection (OCP), and over-temperature protection (OTP). This device uses a soft-switching topology for improved EMI performance.
The MID6W2424A requires a minimal number of readily available, standard external components. It is available in a low-profile LGA (10mmx10mmx4.8mm) package.
