The MID1W2424A is an automotive-grade, 1.5W, 5kV_RMS, isolated DC/DC power module with an integrated transformer. This solution is ideal for being used as an isolated power supply for biasing power transistors, such as silicon carbide (SiC), silicon FETs, and insulated-gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs). It supports up to 1.5W of output power (P_OUT) with a 24V input voltage (V_IN), and features a -40°C to +150°C operating junction temperature (T_J) range.

The MID1W2424A simplifies the design of an isolated bias supply by integrating the control, switching power stage, protection circuitry, transformer, and other passive components in a single package. This module provides a small solution size and highly reliable operation compared to a traditional system-in-package (SIP) isolated power module. An external voltage reference can be used with this module to provide a regulated output.

The MID1W2424A features different protection features such as over-voltage protection (OVP), over-current protection (OCP), and over-temperature protection (OTP). In addition, it provides fault reporting with the FLT indicator. This device uses a soft-switching typology for improved EMI performance.

The MID1W2424A requires a minimal number of readily available, standard external components. It is available in a low-profile, wide-body (WB) SOIC-16 package with a 2.65mm height.
