Description

Optimized Performance with MPS Inductor

The EVL8880-V-00A is an evaluation board designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the MP8880, a fully integrated, high-efficiency, synchronous step-down converter with a wide input voltage (V_IN) range and 4A of output current (I_OUT).

The MP8880 adopts current mode to provide fast transient response and simplify loop stabilization. The MP8880 implements full protection features including under-voltage lockout (UVLO), over-voltage protection (OVP), over-current protection (OCP), and thermal shutdown. The MP8880 supports paralleled operation with up to four phases for a higher I_OUT. Refer to the MP8880 datasheet for more detailed information.

It is recommended to read the datasheet for the MP8880 prior to making any changes to the EVL8880-V-00A.
