Optimized Performance with MPS Inductor

The EVL8880A-V-00A is an evaluation board designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the MP8880A, a fully integrated, high-efficiency, synchronous step-down converter with a wide input voltage (V_IN) range and up to 4.5A of output current (I_OUT).

The MP8880A adopts current mode operation to provide fast transient response and simplify loop stabilization. The device implements full protection features, including under-voltage lockout (UVLO), over-voltage protection (OVP), over-current protection (OCP), and thermal shutdown. The MP8880A supports paralleled operation with up to 4 phases for a higher I_OUT. Refer to the MP8880A datasheet for more detailed information.

The MP8880A is available in a QFN-20 (4mmx5mm) package. It is recommended to read the MP8880A datasheet prior to making any changes to the EVL8880A-V-00A.
