Description

The MP8891 is a complete power management IC that integrates four high-efficiency, step-down DC/DC converters and a flexible logic interface.

Constant-on-time (COT) control provides a fast transient response. The configurable switching frequency (f_SW, up to 1.6MHz) greatly reduces the external inductor and capacitor size. The output voltage (V_OUT) can be adjusted through the I²C bus, or preset by the three-time, multiple-time programmable (MTP) memory e-fuse. The on/off sequences can also be configured via the MTP.

Additional features include under-voltage lockout (UVLO), over-current protection (OCP), and thermal shutdown. The MP8891 requires a minimal number of external components, and is available in a space-saving QFN-22 (3mmx4mm) package.
