The EVQ9842-L-00A is an evaluation board designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the MPQ9842 and MP9842, which are synchronous, step-down switching regulators with a 350kHz to 2.5MHz configurable frequency and an integrated, internal high-side MOSFET (HS-FET) and low-side MOSFET (LS-FET). The devices can achieve up to 2A of highly efficient output current (I_OUT) with current mode control for fast loop response.

The MPQ9842 and MP9842 employ advanced asynchronous modulation (AAM) mode to achieve high efficiency at light loads by scaling down the switching frequency (f_SW) to reduce the switching and gate driver losses.

The EVQ9842-L-00A is a fully assembled and tested evaluation board. It can generate 5V of output voltage (V_OUT) and up to 2A of load current across a 5V to 36V input voltage (V_IN) range, with a 450kHz f_SW.

The MPQ9842 is available in AEC-Q100 Grade 1. The MPQ9842 and MP9842 are available in a space-saving QFN-16 (3mmx4mm) package.
