The EVQ9840-L-00A is an evaluation board designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the MP9840 and MPQ9840, which are synchronous, step-down, switching regulators with a 350kHz to 2.5MHz configurable frequency and an integrated, internal high-side (MOSFET) and low-side MOSFET (LS-FET).

The MP9840 and MPQ9840 provide up to 3.5A of highly efficient output current (I_OUT), with current mode control for fast loop response. The devices employ advanced asynchronous modulation (AAM) mode to help achieve high efficiency at light loads by scaling down the switching frequency (f_SW) to reduces the switching and gate driving losses.

The EVQ9840-L-00A is a fully assembled and tested evaluation board. It generates 5V of output voltage (V_OUT) and up to 3.5A of load currents across a 5V to 36V input voltage (V_IN) range, with a 450kHz f_SW.

The MPQ9840 is available in AEC-Q100 Grade 1. The MP9840 and MPQ9840 are available in a space-saving QFN-16 (3mmx4mm) package.
