The EVQ4589-QVE-00A is an evaluation board designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the MPQ4589-AEC1, a 9μA quiescent current (I_Q), synchronous step-down converter with integrated high-side and low-side MOSFETs (HS-FET and LS-FET, respectively). It supports up to 0.8A of output current (I_OUT) with internal compensation.

High power conversion efficiency across a wide load range is achieved with power-save mode (PSM) and a low I_Q under light-load conditions to reduce switching and gate driver losses.

To achieve a small output ripple under light loads, pulling the MODE/SYNC pin high sets the part to forced continuous conduction mode (FCCM). The switching frequency (f_SW) is always fixed at 400kHz for all load conditions.

Full protection features include over-current protection (OCP), short-circuit protection (SCP) with hiccup mode, output over-voltage protection (OVP), and over-temperature protection (OTP).

The MPQ4589-AEC1 is available in a QFN-19 (3mmx5mm) package, and it is available in AEC-Q100 Grade 1.
