The EVQ4372-V-1001-00B evaluation board is designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the MPQ4372-1001, a synchronous, step-down switching regulator with integrated low on resistance (R_DS(ON)) high-side and low-side power MOSFETs for 4-phase applications. Part of a highly scalable family, the device offers an 11A output current (I_OUT) range and employs Zero-Delay PWM (ZDP^TM) control, an MPS-exclusive technology that delivers extremely fast transient response while reducing the need for costly external capacitors. The EVQ4372-V-1001-00B can provide a maximum I_OUT of 44A.

The wide 3.3V to 36V input voltage (V_IN) range accommodates a variety of step-down applications in automotive input environments. A 1.8μA shutdown mode quiescent current (I_Q) allows the device to be used in battery-powered applications. High power conversion efficiency across a wide load range is achieved by scaling down the switching frequency (f_SW) under light-load conditions to reduce switching and gate driver losses.

An open-drain power good (PG) signal from the primary part indicates whether the output is within 94% to 106% of its nominal voltage. Frequency foldback helps prevent inductor current (I_L) runaway during start-up. Thermal shutdown provides reliable, fault-tolerant operation. High duty cycle and low-dropout (LDO) mode are provided to support automotive cold-crank conditions.

The EVQ4372-V-1001-00B is a fully assembled and tested evaluation board. The MPQ4372-1001 is available in a QFN-23 (4mmx5mm) package with wettable flanks, and is available in AEC-Q100 Grade 1.
