The EV2932+86884 is a two phase evaluation board for MP2932, a 6-phase, synchronous buck switching regulator controller for regulating microprocessor core voltage.
This EVB utilizes the Intelli-Phase MP86884 to work with the controller MP2932, providing the 60A continuous output current over a wide input supply voltage rage of 7V to 14V.
Accurate current balance can be realized in MP2932 to provide current balance for each channel. Output current is sensed to realize the voltage droop function for the loadline requirement of microprocessor.
8 bit ID input with selectable VR11 code and extended VR10 code of MP2932 can set output voltage dynamically.

6-Phase PWM Controller with 8-Bit DAC Code for VR10 and VR11
The MP2932 is a 6-phase, synchronous buck switching regulator controller for regulating microprocessor core voltage. MP2932 also uses dual edge PWM mode to realize fast load transient with fewer capacitors. For meeting the requirement of microprocessor output voltage drops tightly as load current increases, output current is sensed to realize voltage droop function. Accurate current balancing is included in MP2932 to provide current balance for each channel. 8-bit ID input with selectable VR11 code and extended VR10 code can set output voltage dynamically.
