The EV2451-J-00A is an evaluation board for the MP2451 and MPQ2451, 2MHz fixed-frequency, step-down switching regulators. The MP2451 and MPQ2451 provide an integrated, internal high-side power MOSFET (HS-FET) with a high voltage. The regulators also provide 0.6A of output voltage (V_OUT) with current mode control for fast loop response and easy compensation.

High power conversion efficiency across the wide load range is achieved by scaling down the switching frequency (f_SW) under light-load conditions to reduce the switching and gate driving losses.

The soft-start function helps prevent inductor current (I_L) runaway during start-up, and thermal shutdown provides reliable, fault-tolerant operation.

By switching at 2MHz, the MP2451 and MPQ2451 can reduce the input/output inductance and capacitance, which reduces cost and board space.
