The MP8500 is a dual channel, high-current intelligent rectifier with integrated low R_DS(ON) MOSFET that is optimized for LLC and Full Bridge converters.

With built-in very low R_DS(ON) MOSFET, the MP8500 can deliver up to 40A of continuous current per device at room temperature. With air flow, the continuous current can reach 50A.

The MP8500’s fast turn-on/off enables both continuous conduction mode (CCM) and discontinuous conduction mode (DCM). It also improves the conversion efficiency.

The MP8500 offers many features to simplify system design. The MP8500 works with MPS LLC controllers and comes with an accurate current sense to monitor the current go through the synchronous rectifier (SR) and temperature sense to report junction temperature.

The MP8500 requires minimum number of external components and is available in FCLGA-39L (5mmx5mm) package.
