The MP2926 is a triple-loop, digital, multi-phase controller that provides power for the memory and SoC. It can operate with MPS’s Intelli-Phase™ products to complete a multi-phase voltage regulator (VR) solution with minimal external components. The MP2926 can be configured with up to two-phase operation for each rail.
The device features an integrated non-volatile memory (NVM) to store and restore device configurations. Device settings and fault parameters can be configured and monitored via the PMBus and I2C interface. The MP2926 can monitor and report output current (IOUT) through the current-sense (CS) output from Intelli-Phase™ devices.
The MP2926 is based on unique, digital, multi-phase, nonlinear control to provide fast transient response to the load transient with minimal output capacitors. The power loop compensation is easy to configure with only one power loop control method for both steady state and load transient.
The MP2926 is available in a QFN-40 (5mmx5mm) package.
