The EV6400DJ-00A is an evaluation board of MP6400. It is designed for voltage supervisory application with low quiescent current and programmable RESET delay time. The circuit monitors the sense voltage (Vsen) with Vcc from 1.8V to 6V. The MR (Manual Reset) function could introduce an external digital signal to control the RESET output. The RESET delay time could be programmed by the external capacitor.
The monitored voltage Vsen could be set from 0.4V through R1 and R2, and the delay time could be programmable from 2.1ms to 10s through C2. On the EV6400DJ-00A, the monitored voltage is set at 3.3V and RESET delay time at 100ms.
- Adjustable Monitored Voltage from 0.4V
- Programmable Reset Delay Time from 2.1ms to 10s
- Optional Manual Reset
- Immune to Short Negative Sense Voltage
low quiescent current programmable-delay supervisory circuit, Reset Voltage can be Preset or Adjustable
The MP6400 family is the microprocessor (µP) supervisory circuit which can monitor and provide reset function for system voltages from 0.4V. When either the SENSE voltage falls below its threshold (VIT) or the voltage of manual reset (MR ) is pulled to a logic low, the RESET signal will be asserted. The reset voltage can be factory-set for standard voltage rails from 0.9V to 5V, while the MP6400DG(J)-01 reset voltage is adjustable with an external resistor divider. When SENSE voltage and exceed their thresholds, is driven to a logic high after a user-programmable delay time. The MP6400 has a very low quiescent current of 1.6uA typically, which makes it ideal suitable for battery-powered applications. It provides a precision reference to achieve ±1% threshold accuracy. The reset delay time can be selected by a capacitor which is connected between CDELAY and GND, allowing the user to select any delay time from 2.1ms to 10s. 380ms delay time is selected by connecting the CDELAY pin to VCC, while 24ms delay time by leaving the CDELAY pin float. MP6400 is available in TSOT23 and 2×2mm 6-pin QFN packages.
