The MP9572 is a fully integrated, wide input voltage (VIN) range, synchronous step-down converter. It can achieve up to 2A of continuous output current (IOUT) with peak current control for excellent transient response.
The device employs advanced asynchronous modulation (AAM) mode, which achieves high efficiency under light loads by scaling down the frequency to reduce switching and gate driver losses.
Full protection features include built-in soft start, enable (EN) control, and power good (PG) indication. In addition, the chip provides over-current protection (OCP) with valley current detection, which helps prevent current runaway. The MP9572 also offers short-circuit protection (SCP) with hiccup mode, input under-voltage lockout (UVLO) protection, and thermal protection with auto-recovery.
With internal compensation, the MP9572 offers a very compact solution with a minimal number of readily available, standard external components. The MP9572 is available in a QFN-12 (2.5mmx3mm) package.

The EVL9572-QB-00A is an evaluation board designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the MP9572, a fully integrated, synchronous step-down converter with a wide input voltage (VIN) range. It can achieve up to 2A of continuous output current (IOUT) with peak current control for excellent transient response.
The MP9572 employs advanced asynchronous modulation (AAM) mode, which helps achieve high efficiency under light-load conditions by scaling down the switching frequency (fSW) to reduce the switching and gate driver losses.
The EVL9572-QB-00A is a fully assembled and tested evaluation board. It generates a 5V output voltage (VOUT) and load currents up to 2A from a 6V to 60V VIN range.
