The EVQ4214-U-00A is an evaluation board is designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the MPQ4214GU-AEC1, a synchronous, four-switch, buck-boost controller capable of regulating different output voltages (VOUT) with a wide input voltage range (VIN) and high efficiency.
The MPQ4214GU-AEC1 provides an I2C interface that supports VOUT configurability, VOUT slew-rate control, and constant output current limit configurability, making the device well-suited for USB power delivery (PD) designs in USB Type-C power supplies.
The MPQ4214-AEC1 uses valley current control in buck mode and peak current control in boost mode, providing fast load transient response and smooth buck-boost mode transients. The MPQ4214-AEC1 provides forced continuous conduction mode (FCCM) and a configurable average current limit, which supports flexible designs for different applications. The MPQ4214GU-AEC1 also features over-current protection (OCP) with hiccup mode, automatic retry over-voltage protection (OVP), configurable soft start (SS), and configurable under-voltage lockout (UVLO).
The MPQ4214GU-AEC1 is available in a QFN-27 (5mmx5mm) package, and it is available in AEC-Q100 Grade 1.
