The EVQ3446-U-00A evaluation board is designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the MPQ3446-AEC1, a high-efficiency, current-mode, synchronous boost controller with a wide 6V to 55V input voltage (VIN) range.
The MPQ3446-AEC1 can operate at multiple phases for high-power applications. The device also has the capability to drive 10V MOSFETs, significantly improving efficiency and minimizing power loss.
The MPQ3446-AEC1 provides either an I2C interface or serial peripheral interface (SPI) to configure some key operating parameters, such as the switching frequency (fSW), current limit, light-load mode, frequency spread spectrum (FSS), dead time (DT), soft-start time (tSS), and slope compensation. fSW can be adjusted between 250kHz and 2.5MHz or directly synchronized to the external source.
The MPQ3446-AEC1 also includes under-voltage lockout (UVLO), over-voltage protection (OVP), current-limit protection, and thermal shutdown protection.
The EVQ3446-U-00A is a fully assembled and tested evaluation board. The MPQ3446-AEC1 is available in a QFN-21 (5mmx5mm) package, and is available in AEC-Q100 Grade 1.
