The TBMA is a test board for the MagAlpha magnetic position sensor family. The TBMA allows users to run and test the MagAlpha sensor quickly. TBMA boards exist in two different formats: round (RD) and long (LT). In the RD format, the sensor is mounted in an end-of-shaft configuration. In the LT format, the sensor is mounted on the edge of the board and can therefore be used in both side-shaft and end-of-shaft configurations.
The TBMA is compatible with the Macom kit, offering seamless connection and operation of the MagAlpha and allowing users to evaluate MagAlpha functionalities and performances with their own set-up.
Contrary to the EVMA, the TBMA only includes the assembled board with the sensor and decoupling capacitors. It does not include connectors.
- Round Board Format for End-of-Shaft Mounting
- Long Board Format for Side Shaft and End-of-Shaft Mounting
- Compatible with MagAlpha Communication Interface Kit (EVKT-MACOM)
- IC Supported 1MA710
The MA710 detects the absolute angular position of a permanent magnet, typically a diametrically magnetized cylinder on a rotating shaft. Fast data acquisition and processing provide accurate angle measurement at speeds from 0 to 60,000 rpm.
The MA710 is particularly suitable for low magnetic field applications: side-shaft configuration or the use of non-rare earth magnets.
The MA710 features magnetic field strength detection with programmable thresholds to allow sensing of the magnet position relative to the sensor for creation of functions such as the sensing of axial movements or for diagnostics.
On-chip non-volatile memory provides storage for configuration parameters, including the reference zero angle position, ABZ encoder settings, and magnetic field detection thresholds.
