2A, 55V, 2MHz Step-Down Converter Evaluation Board
The EVQ4560-N-00A is an evaluation board for the MPQ4560, a high frequency step-down regulator with an integrated power MOSFET.
The MP4560 integrates a 250mΩ MOSFET that provides 2A load current over a wide operating input voltage of 4.5V to 55V.
Current mode control provides fast transient response and eases loop stabilization. An internal soft-start prevents inrush current at turn-on.
The EVQ4560-N-00A is a fully assembled and tested PCB. It generates a +5V output voltage at load current up to 2A from an 8V to 55V input range. Switching frequency is set at 700kHz.

The MPQ4560 is a high frequency step-down switching regulator with integrated internal high-side high voltage power MOSFET. It provides 2A output with current mode control for fast loop response and easy compensation. The wide 4.5V-to-55V input range accommodates a variety of step-down applications, including those in automotive input environment. A 12µA shutdown mode supply current allows use in battery-powered applications. High-power conversion efficiency over a wide load range is achieved by scaling down the switching frequency in light load conditions to reduce the switching and gate driving losses. Frequency foldback prevents inductor current runaway during startup and thermal shutdown provides reliable, fault tolerant operation. By switching at 2MHz, the MPQ4560 can prevent electromagnetic interference problems, such as those found in AM radio and ADSL applications. The MPQ4560 is available in small 3mm x 3mm QFN10 and SOIC8 with exposed pad packages. These MPQ parts target Automotive system and Industrial power system applications.
